Ellel Village Hall
A modern, spacious village hall located in the heart of Galgate. It is at the focal point for local activities, fund-raising events and community groups. The building boasts a light and airy large main hall, smaller meeting room, break out area, ample parking and well-equipped kitchen & bar, making it ideal for a wide range of events. Planned, funded and developed locally, the village hall is an expression of the community spirit and connection within Galgate.
Galgate Cricket Club
Galgate Cricket Club was founded in 1860 and since then has seen many generations of Galgate families play for and support the club.
Galgate Cricket Club prides its self on accepting and welcoming anyone who has a passion for the sport.
If you have a passion for cricket, no matter your level or experience, and fancy giving it a go, we have training sessions and games every week during the summer.

Galgate Football Club
Founded in 1888, Galgate Football Club is a local amateur football club. The club has teams from U7’s through to adults. The men’s sides play in the West Lancs Football Leagues and the Galgate Ladies play in the Women’s Lancashire County League. Dolphinholme Bowling Club
Nestled between Dolphinholme Village Hall and St. Marks Church, Dolphinholme Bowling Club is a long established and friendly crown green bowls club. It boasts a healthy membership with many long-serving members and a welcoming atmosphere for new faces. There are regular competitions throughout the season, including doubles, mixed doubles and even a fun day!

There are regular bookings for various clubs and fitness classes, plus annual events such as the Dolphinholme Show. It features a large main hall, smaller room to the rear, full kitchen facilities, ample parking and one of the best views in the parish.
